This is the new addition to the site, this is where we will write some stuff that you will need to know to become a REBEL ROPER, each week we will change the topic.

Choosing A Rope.

There are many different types of ropes available however which one is correct for you?
Beaded ropes
Leather ropes
Vinyl speed ropes
Digital counting ropes
Weighted Ropes
Extra long handle ropes
Power ropes
With all these different varieties of ropes available which ones should you choose?

The most basic, cheapest and versatile rope is the standard vinyl speed rope that is available in most sport shops.
For basic Jump Rope training you will be able to use a regular vinyl speed ropes priced around 5-10 pounds. It is important that the rope is right length for you and a good rule-of-thumb is while stood on the rope the handles should reach your armpits.

Although all of the other ropes are still very good they are more specialised and designed for strong muscle work or offer more tricks and are ideal for displays and demonstrations.
For beginers the standard speed rope will suffice.
